On 24th March 2020, the Swale Business Awards will once again begin accepting applications for entries into the annual awards.
After last year’s record-breaking amount of entries, Brian Carey, Chair of the Awards and Partner at UHY Hacker Young, is keen to make the 2020 awards even more successful. He is appealing to businesses of all shapes and sizes to enter. Brian commented:
“This will be the fourteenth year of the Swale Business Awards, and every year the awards go from strength-to-strength. What is especially exciting is that we are always seeing new businesses enter and use the awards as a platform to showcase to the rest of Swale – and beyond – why they feel that they stand out from their competitors.”
The awards are free to enter, and by completing one entry form you will be entered into all of the ten award categories that you are eligible for. These include:
This year for the first time we will be awarding an Environmental Impact award for the business that best displays it’s positive green credentials.
The awards will officially open on 24th March with a launch evening taking place at Kent Science Park’s luxurious Hub centre. Kicking off at 16:30, the event will offer the chance to hear tips and advice from past winners and judges on entering the awards, as well as offering the opportunity to network with dozens of local business owners. There will also be a special guest speaker, who will be announced shortly.
To be eligible to enter the 2020 awards, businesses will need to have been trading for a minimum of twelve months on 30th June, which is also the date that the awards will close for entries. Businesses must be registered in Swale to be eligible.
The Principal sponsor of the Swale Business Awards is Handelsbanken, who is sponsoring for the sixth consecutive year. Joining Handelsbanken as sponsors for 2020 are: C & D Logistics South East, CS One Design, Enterprise Centres, Invicta Financial Group, Kent Event Centre, Kent Science Park, NFU Mutual, Peel Ports - London Medway, Shepherd Neame, Swale Borough Council, Thomson Snell & Passmore, UHY Hacker Young, University of Greenwich and William Whitmey Independent Funeral Directors.
