It is with great pleasure that we can announce that we are now accepting entries for the 2019 Swale Business Awards.
The awards officially launched last night when almost a hundred local business people filled Shepherd Neame’s Old Brewery Store to network with fellow Swale Businesses and meet with past winners of the awards and the 2019 judging panel.
Attendees were a mixture of previous winners, previous entrants and businesses that had never entered the Swale Business Awards before and were interested in entering for the first time this year.
Everyone in attendance was treated to a selection of delicious food and beer pairings from Shepherd Neame, which included Fish and Chips and Sticky Toffee Pudding.
Guests were then ushered in to hear from Brian Carey of UHY Hacker Young who has taken over a Chair of the Awards this year. Brian talked them through the judging process and discussed how the awards can help to raise their profile.
“Very little in business comes for free,” Brian explained, “but the Swale Business Awards genuinely are a free way to raise your profile and to help promote your business. It can also be incredibly morale boosting for your team and a wonderful way to meet other local business people.”
After Brian concluded his talk he handed over to Kieren Mansfield of Swale Means Business who provided an update of developments taking place within the borough.
It was then time for the keynote address from Phil Eckersley of The Bank of England who discussed the current economic landscape and covered the Bank’s latest forecasts and projections, making it an invaluable talk for business owners.
If you would like to enter the 2019 awards, you can do so here. There is also the facility to nominate businesses that you feel are deserving of being recognised at the awards.
Our next event will take place at Kent Science Park on 12th June. Follow us on our social media channels for more information.
