Cucumber Catering provides completely fresh and bespoke corporate and private catering services for every occasion. Whether it is a seven-course sit-down dinner party to a Hog Roast for 300, Cucumber Catering prides itself on providing a package suitable whatever the customer needs.
Managing Director Emily Brooke, spoke about her growing reputation throughout Swale: “Over the last few years, we have established a diverse customer base including international businesses, small business owners, schools and local networking groups. Our private clients include couples looking to get married, family christenings and special birthday parties. Whatever the occasion, Cucumber Catering has a package to suit – be it for a boardroom of six people, or a birthday party for a hundred!”
This has been a challenging but exciting year for Cucumber Catering, as they have moved into the new “Hub” building at Kent Science Park. This has dramatically increased the space they have, and the number of customers that they can cater for at any given time. However, with a bigger space comes more costs and the need to employ even more staff. Emily has embraced these changes, and Cucumber Catering has thrived in their new home.
Emily won a Swale Business Award for her café in 2012, and she feels that a lot has changed since then: “It has been seven years since we won a Swale Business Award and consider ourselves as a real success story of the Awards. We had our most successful year ever in 2018 and hope to continue that momentum throughout 2019 and beyond. Cucumber Catering is a true Swale business - our staff are all local, our produce is local and our suppliers are local. We’ve hit some significant and incredible milestones over the last few years with the help of our staff who deserve recognition for their dedication to our business.”
