Operating for just over a year now, The Shisha Bar is a unique new attraction in Sheerness. The freshman business offers customers a selection of delicious cocktails, shakes and hot drinks to accompany use of a shisha pipe – an Egyptian hookah pipe that releases herbal flavours.
Rajan Musha, owner of The Shisha Bar, has some big plans for his business. “Our goal is to provide customers with an incredible experience. We want people to be proud on what we have to offer. Over the next two years our aim is to promote the social aspects of The Shisha Bar, where visiting us with friends or family is another activity available instead of going to the cinema or having a game of bowling.”
As a start-up business, Rajan’s biggest challenge was letting people know that The Shisha Bar was open for them to come and visit. To do this he hosted several private events and heavily promoted the business on social media. He’s now developing new options for customers, including “mocktails” and delicious milkshakes.
When asked why he felt his business could be Swale Business of the Year, Rajan said: “In Swale we have no competition - we are the first Shisha bar in the area! We have brought something new and unique to the region. We have lovingly created an outside, heated environment for our customers and the feedback we have had so far is that people feel like they are visiting another country when they visit us.”
