For a decade now, JP Stone have been manufacturing bespoke doors and joinery from their premises in Sittingbourne. The 12-strong team have been investing in new machinery to improve productivity and give customers more options.
Director Julie Stone discussed the growth her company had seen over the last few years: “There have been several factors at play in helping with the growth of our business, not least of which has been the dedication and commitment of our wonderful staff. I also think we’re especially good at looking after our customers, and this in turn means that they are loyal to us – both in terms of returning to us for repeat business, and recommending us to other organisations.”
The staff commitment that Julie speaks about is evident – highlighted by the fact that the majority of her staff have been with her since she started the business back in April 2007.
It is clear that JP Stone has a deep level of care and commitment to their staff, and that this feeling is reciprocated. In fact, when asked why she felt that JP Stone should be recognised at the Swale Business Awards, Julie replied: “To be recognised as a company would really be a recognition of the hard work of our staff here. Our business is only here today because of the dedication of our staff.”
