The Swale Business Awards are about businesses in the borough that stand out, and House are a business determined to do just that. In the extremely competitive field of estate agency, House are competing with long-established agents and are doing so with the message that “Estate Agents can be liked!”
Established in May 2015, the five-person team have built their reputation on proving that they’re able to offer everything that other High Street agents do and by delivering what they feel is the best customer service around.
Andries van den Berg, Partner at House, discussed what made House different from some other estate agents: “We offer a happy environment to work in. My partner and myself have both been in the business for a while and really wanted to do things differently. We wanted to do things our way! We have taken on a local apprenticeship student to train in our field, and they have become a valuable member of our team. We want our team members to be fulfilled by working here so we give rewards and staff treats on a regular basis.”
House are a local firm, with the bulk of their clients being the people of Swale who are either first-time buyers or clients wishing to sell or buy a home. They also let properties and arrange tenant finds.
Andries also discussed why House deserved to win a Swale Business Award: “We have had to work hard to become established and win customers trust to use us to sell their homes. Our figures are growing year-on-year so we must be doing something right! We have also worked to show our clients that we are different to other High Street agents and that we really do go the extra mile to make sure things go smoothly. If you look at our reviews on Facebook, you can see this reflected. It is also highlighted by the fact our new business is mainly won by word of mouth referrals. We are often one of the top agents for the local area via feedback from Rightmove. Ultimately our goal is to show there really can be nice estate agents out there who can be trusted and will provide the best customer service when selling your home.”
