A delicious range of sandwiches, baguettes, wraps and jacket potatoes are available at Baileys Coffee Shop and Sandwich Bar.
The Sittingbourne High Street venue also serves up a daily selection of homemade cakes as well as hot and cold drinks. It’s the only coffee shop in the area with a garden, and last month its upstairs seating area had its official opening. The new 28-seat room, which includes sofas and a large mural of Alice in Wonderland, has proved particularly welcome during busy periods.
Owner Sally Reeve, who opened the shop in 2012, said future plans include expanding its outside catering and introducing a web-based click and collect service.
She said: “Our constant challenge is to keep our current customers coming back and to encourage more visitors to try our products.
“We always give the highest possible level of efficient and friendly customer service. We’re often told by people that they feel comfortable eating alone with us, as everyone is always so friendly.
“One of our customers recently wrote on TripAdvisor: “You feel at home and very comfortable when you enter this coffee shop. Everyone has the time of day for you.”
Baileys employs three, fully-trained, full-time staff.
Sally said winning this year’s Swale Business Awards would be fitting reward for their hard work.
“Our team are fantastic, often giving up their day off to help cover,” she said.
“They come in early, stay late and make cakes in their own time.”
